About Ben

My name is Ben, I am a third year student studying applied Freshwater and Marine Biology in Galway Mayo institute of technology. I live in a town away from the ocean, any lakes or rivers but from a very early age had a fascination with the ocean and knew what I wanted to do.

I love sharks and Marine mammals and came here to learn more about them and how they can be used for research and not only that but learn the techniques I will need in my career later in life. This internship will be a great opportunity for me to expand my knowledge of the marine ecosystems of a different area of the world
