About Caitlin

My name is Caitlin and I am 20 years old, originally from New Zealand but residing in Western Australia. I am currently completing my bachelor of science degree at Murdoch University, majoring in marine biology with a strong emphasis on marine wildlife conservation (and I am planning to complete my honours after that).

I came across this program simply by searching online for anything that involves my favourite marine animals including penguins, whales and sharks. I gained a special interest in these animals after learning more about them in my first year of study, and I would love to work with and study them more as a career. I was originally going to volunteer, until I found out there would be an internship starting up! So I applied, and here I am today.

Starting this internship has been a dream come true for me and I cannot wait to continue working with all of the incredible marine life here. I look forward to broadening my knowledge and skills on marine animals, working on boats, science and conservation.
