About Caoimhe

My name is Caoimhe, I am 21 years old and I am currently completing my bachelors degree in Applied Freshwater and Marine Biology in GMIT, in Galway, Ireland. Ever since I was small I was fascinated with animals and the marine environment intrigued me.

The minute I started studying marine biology I fell in love with the ocean and the amazing creatures within it. I am very passionate about conservation and learning more about how we can help and protect our oceans.

I heard about this internship when Toby came to our college to give a talk on Marine Dynamics Academy. I knew this internship was the one for me to enhance my skills and better my scientific knowledge. I look forward to this excellent opportunity to develop a future career in conservation and research.
