About Josh

My name is Josh and I am a 21-year-old second year Marine Biology undergraduate from Leeds, England studying at Bangor University in Wales. I have intentions to carry on and get a masters once I have completed my bachelor’s degree with a potential view to a PhD after that.

From a young age I have always been fascinated by animals of all kinds; both marine and terrestrial. It was a pure coincidence that I was fortunate to come across the Marine Dynamics internship as I visited South Africa in July 2018 on holiday and was lucky enough to go on the whale watching cruise aboard Dream Catcher. While aboard they told me of the opportunity to become an intern and from that moment I knew I would be here again eventually.

Working first hand with marine organisms such as sharks and cetaceans is a dream come true and I am truly looking forward to all the experience I will gain while here. It’s a fantastic opportunity and I couldn’t be more excited.
