Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology
Established in 1972 and organised across five locations in Western Ireland, Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology is one of the furthest afield and most beautifully located Universities that we’re visiting, as part our winter presentations.
I’m spending the day in the surrounding area, where I’m excited to learn more about both the University and the culture within which it’s located. Galway is an absolutely stunning part of the world, where scenery such as the below is commonplace and I’m almost tempted to spend a few more days here myself, just to enjoy the nature and history:
This evening, I will be presenting our Scientific Internship to students across various courses, all with an interest in the marine environment and the opportunities our training programs offer them, to further enhance their skillset.
This is the second date on our UK tour, following our presentation at the University of Salford on Monday.
We’ll be sharing updates from that presentation and tonight’s in the next week or so. In the meantime, please do visit the official Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology to learn more and check out our recent blog about corals, written by our current scientific intern Megan Beazley.
Thanks!
